Peppermint Oil Uses

I grew up in the country. Although we mostly grew roses and tomatoes, we did have some barrels of peppermint growing on the porch. The moment I stepped off the school bus onto my driveway, I could smell the refreshing peppermint scent!

Peppermint essential oil is diverse and easy to use. That is why it is one of my top favorite essential oils to have.¬†Whether you’re using it in your magical spells, or just DIY home remedies, peppermint essential oil is an absolute must-have for witches!

Here are my favorites uses for Peppermint Oil:

1. Soothe cramps

Because of the cooling benefits of peppermint, it is excellent for soothing cramps. It only takes a few drops on the bottoms of your feet and on your belly.

2. Banish bad breath

If you need to freshen your breath, keep away from commercial mouth washes and breath sprays and turn to peppermint essential oil instead. Banish bad breath with a couple of drops on the tongue for instant minty-fresh breath!

3. Taming upset tummies

Peppermint essential oil is great for easing nausea, too. Just open the bottle, and inhale the soothing aromas. If nausea persists, take a tiny drop on the tongue.

4. A quick summer cool-off

As mentioned earlier, peppermint contains menthol, which is very cooling to the touch. During the hot summer months, mix a few drops of peppermint oil with some coconut oil and rub it on the back of your neck, wrists, and behind the knees for a quick cool down.

5. Focus and alertness

Working on a difficult project? Just combine a couple of drops of peppermint oil with orange oil and rub on the back of your neck. The two essential oils work together to keep your mind on the task at hand.
